The BalMar is committed to green business practices. We compost all of our food waste, recycle our fryer oil as biodiesel, use all recycled paper products, have fully compostable to-go containers, and have low-flow toilets, waterless urinals, and on-demand water heaters that save us tens of thousands of gallons of water each year. We support local farmers and suppliers, including Ballard-based Tall Grass Bakery and Better Meat Company.
